HINDU HERITAGE SUMMER CAMP

Returning for her 10th year of camp, Saira is so incredibly excited to be this year's Director! Having journeyed through various roles as a KYS member, head counselor, and most recently, Assistant Director, Saira holds camp in the highest regard. It holds a special place in her heart, serving as a beacon that allowed her to delve into her cultural roots while also fostering lifelong friendships. Saira is from Washington DC and is in her second year at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland pursuing a joint honors degree in Sustainable Development and Biology. Saira is beyond ecstatic to return this year as the Director, and create a memorable year for the campers and counselors!

Giri has been coming to camp since 2016 as a camper, counselor, and head counselor. He is from Connecticut and is currently in his first year at Cornell University. Giri is grateful for the cultural experiences and friendships he has found at camp. He has enjoyed the sense of belonging and positivity that camp has given him each year. As an Assistant Director, he is excited to provide campers with the same joy for HHSC that has had such a positive impact on his life. He is looking forward to another amazing year of camp!

Rishabh has been coming to camp since he was 9 years old, spending time as a camper, counselor, head counselor, and now assistant director. While he has spent his time at session 2, he is super excited to make new memories and bonds at session 1. HHSC has provided Rishabh with a place to learn more about Hindu Values and culture while also making lifelong bonds. Rishabh is from Long Island, New York and is a Freshman at The University of Michigan studying Data Science with a Minor in Economics. He is extremely excited to provide campers with the same experience he has had as well as make 2024 a year for the books!

A twelve-year member of the camp community, Sid is honored to be this year’s Director. Having attended as a camper and served as a KYS member, counselor, head counselor, staff coordinator, and assistant director, Sid credits HHSC with a great deal of his cultural and spiritual development in addition to giving him some of his best friends ever. Sid is a junior from Dallas, Texas, majoring in Sustainability and Finance in the Canfield Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, and he can’t wait to make this summer one to remember!

Returning for her tenth year, Arya is ecstatic to serve as one of your 2024 Assistant Directors! She has been coming to camp as a camper, counselor, and most recently head counselor. Arya is from Washington DC, and is a freshman studying intersections between psychology, philosophy, and fine arts at New York University. For Arya, HHSC has fostered philosophical and spiritual growth, as well as given her people she can call a second family. Arya is thrilled to make 2024 a memorable year!

Ethan is thrilled to serve as an Assistant Director this year! This coming summer will be his tenth year of camp, and he has been a camper, counselor, and head counselor. Ethan is from York, PA, and is a freshman studying aeronautical science at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona. For Ethan camp has been a second home that has fostered cultural and philosophical appreciation along with unforgettable friendships. Ethan cannot wait to help make this year special.
