HINDU HERITAGE SUMMER CAMP

Rajan has been coming to camp since 2012, spending his time as a counselor, head counselor, and most recently, staff coordinator. He is a sophomore at Syracuse University studying Economics with minors in Religion and Emerging sport enterprise. HHSC has always played a huge part in Rajan’s life. Being from Dallas, Texas, camp was a way for him to leave for a little bit and find a new home, while also learning more about his religion and culture. Ever since he started coming, Rajan has always looked up to the director of camp, and he is super excited and grateful to provide campers with a similar experience and make 2023 a summer to remember!

Rajvi has been coming to camp for 10 years as a camper, counselor, and head counselor. She is from Westchester, NY and is currently in her first year at Northeastern University. Rajvi has made some of her best friends at camp, along with countless unforgettable memories! Camp has allowed her to learn more about her culture in a positive environment and she is glad to call HHSC her second home. Rajvi is very excited to return as Assistant Director this year, and provide campers with another great experience this summer!

Rithin has been coming to camp for the past three years now, twice as a counselor and once as a head counselor. He is currently a sophomore at The University of Texas at Dallas and is pursuing a major in Finance. Despite never coming to camp as a camper and being brought up in the south, Rithin recognizes camp as a home and a place of comfort. For Rithin being a counselor at HHSC gave him friendship and memories that will be cherished for years to come. Rithin is excited and honored to return as an assistant director this summer and to make HHSC 2k23 the best year possible!

Having come to camp since 2015, Rohan is returning for his ninth year. He has come to camp as a camper, KYS member, Counselor, Staff Coordinator, most recently as Assistant Director. He is super excited and grateful to be able to return as this year's Director! Rohan is from Long Island, New York and is a second year student at the University of Southern California where he is double majoring in Economics/Anthropology and is pursuing a minor in Blockchain technology. Camp provided him with a place to learn more about Hindu values and beliefs as well as create lifelong friendships. He is extremely excited to provide campers with the same experience and make 2023 a year to remember!

Saira has been coming to camp since 2015, and has been a camper, counselor and most recently, head counselor, and is thrilled to return as one of the Assistant Directors for 2k23! Saira is from Washington DC and is in her first year at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland studying Sustainable Development and Economics while also serving as a member of the competitive tennis team. Camp has played an important role in her life - allowing her to learn about and appreciate her culture while also creating friendships that will last a lifetime. Saira is ecstatic to come back and create a memorable year for the campers!

Returning for his eleventh year of camp, Sid is ecstatic to be one of this year’s Assistant Directors! Having attended as a camper and served as a KYS member, counselor, head counselor, and Staff Coordinator, Sid credits HHSC with a great deal of his cultural and spiritual development in addition to giving him some of his best friends ever. Sid is from Dallas, Texas and is a sophomore majoring in Sustainability as a student in the Canfield Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, and he can’t wait to make this summer an experience to remember!
